Description:
The International Education Scholarship (IES) is designed to help UH undergraduate and graduate students financially participate in approved learning abroad programs. These programs may include faculty-led study abroad programs, reciprocal exchange programs, third-party affiliated provider programs, internships abroad, research collaboratives, academic conferences, and volunteer opportunities overseas. This scholarship aims to make international education more accessible to students, enhancing their global perspective and academic experience.
Eligibility:
Undergraduate Students:
- Must have completed at least 12 credit hours at UH.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- First-semester students or new transfer students are not eligible.
- Students must not have received the IES scholarship before.
Graduate & Professional Students:
- Must have completed at least 9 credit hours at UH.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- First-semester graduate students or new transfer students are not eligible, unless they completed an undergraduate program at UH.
- Students must not have previously received the IES scholarship.
