The Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship is designed to support outstanding international students from South-East Asia who are planning to study at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. This scholarship is available for students enrolling in either undergraduate or postgraduate programmes for the first time at the University.
The scholarship offers up to NZD$15,000 to successful applicants who have shown excellent academic performance. This is an excellent opportunity for talented individuals from South-East Asia who want to pursue higher education at a respected institution in New Zealand.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a citizen of one of the following countries: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, or Vietnam. If you are not a citizen of any of these countries, you should apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship instead.

Be applying to enrol full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at the University of Waikato. The applicant must be a new international student.

Have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to the University of Waikato.

Have a minimum GPA equivalent to a B+ or higher in the qualifications used to gain admission.
