If you are enrolled in a programme within the Dutch higher education system that is publicly funded, you might qualify for student finance. This support aims to make higher education accessible to more students. Eligibility depends on factors such as your nationality, residence status, and work status in the Netherlands.

Eligibility:
To qualify, you must meet the following conditions:

  1. Age Limit: You must be under 30 years old when your student finance begins.
  2. Programme Type: You need to be enrolled in a full-time programme lasting at least one year.
  3. Nationality or Residence Permit:
    • Dutch nationality or valid residence permit with specific requirements.
    • EU/EEA, Swiss, or UK nationality with additional conditions.
  4. Work or Residency for EU/EEA and Swiss Students:
    • Work at least 32 hours per month in the Netherlands.
    • Or have lived in the Netherlands for at least five consecutive years.
