Description:
Universität Hamburg’s merit scholarship program supports exceptional international students and doctoral researchers across all disciplines and degree levels. The scholarship is designed for individuals who have shown social commitment and active involvement in an international context. Award recipients can focus fully on their studies and have the opportunity to further develop their skills.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have been enrolled at Universität Hamburg for at least 2 semesters and be pursuing a degree (students in 2-year master’s programs and doctoral researchers can apply after completing 1 semester)
• Must not hold German citizenship
• Must not be eligible for the federal student loan scheme (students fulfilling the requirements of Section 8 of the German Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG) are not eligible)
