Description:
The Master Plus funding program supports students across all disciplines who are beginning a full-time, on-site Master’s degree at a university in Germany after completing their Bachelor’s degree. The program provides income-dependent financial support to allow scholars to focus fully on their studies. Additionally, it fosters personal growth through non-material support such as cross-program workshops, regional group meetings, and annual gatherings. These activities encourage networking with other scholars and alumni of the Claussen-Simon Foundation’s funding programs.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You are starting your Master’s degree at a German university in the upcoming semester, and your Master’s program has not yet begun at the time of application.
- Your studies must be full-time and on-site (not dual or distance learning programs).
- You must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
- You have completed or expect to complete your Bachelor’s degree with an average grade of 1.7 or better, or you rank in the top 10% of graduates in your field (official proof from the examination office required).
- You do not already hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Extracurricular activities, such as social engagement, are highly valued.
- You must be fluent in German or have very good German language skills at a B1 level (evidenced by a DSH certificate, TestDaF, university course, VHS course, or a Goethe Institute certificate).
