Description:
This grant is designed to support international students facing special challenges in their academic journey. It is particularly aimed at refugees, individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses, and those with caregiving responsibilities for children or relatives in need of care.

Eligibility Requirements:

• International students enrolled at UdK Berlin (Bildungsausländer*innen).
• At least one of the following conditions must apply:
  • Refugee background
  • A degree of disability of at least 50% or a chronic illness
  • Care responsibilities for underage children in their household (especially single parents)
  • Care responsibilities for 1st or 2nd-degree relatives
• Foreign students with dual German citizenship and exchange students are not eligible for STIBET funding.
• Enrolment at UdK Berlin must be maintained throughout the entire funding period (summer semester 2025).
