Description: The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship programme is one of three Master's programmes offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. The programme is part of the UK government’s commitment to international development, operating under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP). It attracts talented individuals from eligible Commonwealth countries, providing them with opportunities to become future leaders and innovators, with the goal of contributing to sustainable development upon their return home.

Eligibility:

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen or have refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country.

  • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.

  • Be available to begin academic studies in the UK by the start of the academic year in September 2025.

  • Hold a first degree with at least upper second-class (2:1) honours by September 2025, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (typically a Master’s degree).

  • Have not studied or worked for more than one academic year in a high-income country.

  • Demonstrate financial need and be unable to afford to study in the UK without the scholarship.

  • Submit all required supporting documents in the proper format by the specified deadlines.
